Aubrey Pappas was extraordinary.

Aubrey was a 6th grade Language Arts teacher at Linwood Middle School in North Brunswick, NJ, where she worked for 13 years. During her tenure at Linwood, Aubrey developed wonderful friendships with her coworkers, and put her heart and soul into teaching and getting to know her students. Aubrey not only impacted the lives of her students due to her caring and nurturing personality, but also she had a tremendous impact on her family and friends.

On October 8, 2014, Aubrey and her unborn son, Nicholas “Niko” Pappas, died in a tragic car accident in South Brunswick, NJ. She left behind her husband Paul, a police officer in North Brunswick, and a son Anthony. Many people throughout various communities felt the impact of this unfathomable tragedy. Shortly after her passing, Aubrey's husband Paul found a list in Aubrey’s nightstand that stated the things she wished to achieve in life, her “bucket list”. Paul, family members and friends vowed to help Aubrey complete the list and to continue to “live like Aubrey” and thus The Aubrey Foundation was born.

Our mission is to foster a strong North Brunswick Township community and to empower local students to achieve their goals.

The Aubrey Foundation logo5 Years and Counting

Aubrey was a selfless person who showed unconditional love and support for the people she loved. She enriched many lives by living her life centered on being genuine, honest, kind, & always helping others. Her positive energy is the driving force that led to the creation of this Foundation. The Aubrey Foundation strives to continue her legacy by hosting community service events and movements inspired by her ideas, dreams & missions.

This Foundation believes that Aubrey’s inspiration continues to radiate throughout the communities she was so greatly a part of, and our members will continue to give and help others in her memory, through the sponsorship of scholarships, and support of community organizations that align with our Mission. Moving into our 6th year of operation, The Aubrey Foundation aims to continue making an impact for the people in our community.

Over the past 5 years, the Foundation has provided financial support through funding of the Aubrey Pappas Memorial Scholarship, the Aubrey Pappas Club at Linwood Middle School, contributions to community organizations, and support of local First Responders.
